Lately I’ve been thinking about how tough it can be to always act as the “motivator” in a group. I’ve noticed that friends often come to me for advice or just a pep talk, and while I’m glad to help, it sometimes leaves me completely drained. One evening after work, I just wanted to sit quietly and have someone else keep the energy up, but instead I ended up trying to cheer up others again. It’s like people assume you never run out of strength, which is far from true. I wonder, how do you personally manage to keep your own drive alive while also being the person everyone leans on for positivity?
